We’ve all been there. The scene: You’ve just rolled out of bed. You’re discombobulated. In your morning daze, you stare at the straightener on the floor next to a pile of clothes that you should have put into the laundry days ago. You contemplate your options.
The last thing you wanna do is spend time on your hair when there’s an uber cozy bed pile of comfortable covers two feet away. Well, gee — do I have the solution for you! Yes, you can repay me with chocolate. Friends, meet the 5 minute french side braid.
This fun hairstyle is a funky twist on your average side braid. FYI: There was NO way to make myself feel unawkward while taking these photos. I was also on the train (casual). Please refrain from making fun of me in the comments section? Kthanks.
Now, the braiding begins. Start as if you were making a regular braid, dividing the segment into three sections and criss-crossing the sections as usual. Then, slowly add in pieces from alongside your hairline as you continue to braid.
When the braid extends below your hairline, continue it as a singular, non-French braid for a few inches. Hold your completed braid in one hand, then gather the rest of your hair with the other, sweeping it to the side your braid is on.
The rest is easy, I promise. Use the finished braid as one part of your final three piece braid. Finish off the look by Bobby pinning any loose strands in the back, and you’re all set!
